Developer’s Letter – October 2025N

2025-10-30 05:00

Hello Agents,

This is PD Hyun Soo Lee.

This developer’s letter is to address some of your curiosity and anticipation, and to briefly share our upcoming update plans scheduled for the near future.

We are aware that many Agents are looking forward to the end-of-year roadmap reveal in “Closers Talk.”
Our team is currently preparing this event with your voices in mind, so we kindly ask for just a little more patience.

First, we ask for your understanding regarding the adjustment to the November update schedule.

We had originally planned two updates in November, but due to Korea’s extended holidays through early and mid-October, we came up with a conclusion that there isn’t enough time to ensure proper testing and stability.

As the PD, I’m truly sorry to deliver news of a delay so early in my tenure.
While it is natural to adjust schedules when necessary, we as a studio will redouble our efforts to ensure stability and substance in the updates to come.

Now, let me briefly introduce the main contents of the updates scheduled for November 12 and November 26.
※ The following information and images are currently under development and may change before release.

▶ November 12 Updates

The first November update is scheduled for November 12, featuring the following key content:

1. Levia Skill Remake
The Levia skill remake aims to deliver a more unique and satisfying combat experience while preserving the core playstyle that Agents are familiar with.

We are simplifying skill inputs that previously required directional keys and integrating scattered buff effects across multiple skills to improve overall usability and convenience.

On the visual side, we are also updating Levia’s effects to be more glamorous and dynamic, the skill presentation will be way smoother.

2. Crew Leader Replacement Feature

If a Crew Leader has not logged in for an extended period, it may hinder the Crew activities.
To address this, a new feature will automatically transfer leadership authority when the Crew Leader has been inactive and has not managed the Crew for a certain period of time.

This feature has already been developed and previously announced, but has not yet been implemented in the game.
To ensure smoother Crew operations for all Agents, this feature will be applied in the first update in November.

▶ November 26 Update

1. Dungeon Status Board

We know that many Agents train multiple characters at the same time, but currently, you have to switch between each character to check their dungeon clear progress one by one.

This inconvenience naturally leads to fatigue in gameplay.

To resolve this, we have developed the [Dungeon Progress Board System],
which allows you to view the dungeon clear status of all your characters at a glance.

On top of checking the status, you can also customize the dungeon list and categories you are currently playing.
This makes it easier and more efficient to set up and manage the dungeons that matter most to you.

With this system, there will no longer be a need to switch characters individually —
you will be able to grasp the progress of all your characters at once.
We hope this new feature will make it more convenient for everyone to manage dungeon clear progress and reduce the hassle during gameplay.

2. Mutant UX Updates
Currently, you must open the Mutation System UI to check your Reaction Type and accumulated EXP, which can be quite inconvenient.

To address this, the mutation type and EXP will soon be displayed directly on the HUD, so that you can easily monitor your mutation progress

Moreover, to help new and returning agents become more familiar with the Mutation System, we will be adjusting the damage-increase values for each mutation type by level.
This change aims to reduce the performance gap felt at lower levels and make mutation growth smoother overall.

3. Character Balance Adjustment (Cheolsu, Lucy, Soma)
We will be applying balance updates for Cheolsu, Lucy, and Soma.
Our main goal is to enhance each character’s attack power, and we are currently testing the final adjustments.

Here’s an overview of the overall balance direction for each character.

Cheolsu

Adjusted charging & channeling skills (Improve casting speed & responsiveness) / Reduced cooldown

Lucy

Enhanced skill effectiveness / Increased skill attack speed

Soma

Increased attack speed in certain skills / Enhanced skill effectiveness / Removed certain conditions required to reduce skill cooldowns

4. Improving Data Loading Structure
We are working to address the brief pauses that occur when allied or enemy characters appear during battle.

In particular, we’ve optimized the issue and expect to be improved that APC and NPC characters would remain still for a few seconds when entering mission dungeons.

We hope this update helps all of you maintain a smoother and more seamless gameplay rhythm.

As always, we will continue striving to optimize performance and resolve structural issues with every update.

▶ Content under Development

Next, I’d like to share some of the additional development projects our team has been working on, beyond the regular annual updates.
While the exact release schedule for each feature hasn’t been finalized yet, we will be sure to inform you as soon as development and testing are complete.

1. Town Travel System Revamp

As the game continues to grow and more towns are added, it is getting more difficult for newer players to distinguish between them.
To improve this, we are reorganizing the current town list, adding town images, and introducing new features such as search, list view, and favorites, so you can find your desired destination more quickly.
Each town will also display quest progress, helping reduce confusion or pressure caused by incomplete prerequisite missions.

Currently, when events are held in specific towns, the only way to check their duration is by viewing the expiration time on event materials. Since this can be inconvenient, we plan to display the event period directly on the town selection screen.

When multiple towns host events at the same time, some of you may miss certain events or have to check the website for details.
To address this, each participating town will now display an event icon, making it easier to identify where active events are taking place.

2. Item / Event Notice on Game Start & Exit

We are revamping the item notification windows shown when you start and exit the game.

Currently, these windows only display text alerts for consumables or items that are about to expire, making it difficult to identify which specific items are affected.

[After Logging In]

  • When you log in, a pop-up window will appear to notify you of any items on the currently logged-in character that are about to expire (within the next three days).

[When Exiting the Game]

  • On the exit screen, you will be able to check at a glance of all unclaimed event rewards and items nearing expiration across your Inventory, Personal Bank, and Account Bank.

3. Improving Past Costume Acquisition
In the past, costumes that were previously sold could only be obtained again when their respective Washing Machine or Transmitter were released,
making it difficult for many players to acquire the outfits they wanted.

To address this, we are currently developing a new acquisition method for past costumes, separating from Washing Machine or Transmitter that will allow you to acquire them through other means.

Going forward, we hope this new system will give everyone more opportunities to acquire past costumes whenever you wish, offering greater flexibility and freedom to style your beloved characters.

In addition to the features mentioned above, we are also continuing to develop new systems, content, and convenience improvements.
However, as some of these projects are still in early stages, we are unable to share details just yet.

Once these updates reach a stage where they can be properly introduced, we will share more information through future announcements and communication channels.

We will continue doing our best to communicate with you through more diverse channels in the future.

Thank you for your attention.

Best Regards,

Hyun Soo Lee,
Closers PD
